Mission Statement

 

"To build and sustain a dynamic local chapter

which is dedicated to

professional networking, and development of its members."

 

 

The chapter will pursue the mission through a variety of activities, programs, and services designed to provide opportunities for member networking, sharing of ideas and information, and for continuing development of professional skills and knowledge.

  Goals
   

Increase employees, employers, and the public understanding of the benefits of investing in occupational health and safety.

 
 
   

Support national, provincial, and local mission, strategic plans, and initiatives.Communicate national and provincial initiatives at each meeting, evaluate those initiatives, and develop action plans for implementation when there is a benefit to our mission.

 
 
   
Provide learning opportunities for members to learn and share information, incidents, and best practices. Invite guest speakers to each meeting. Information sharing section to be part of the agenda. Select monthly themes. Develop a training resource calendar. Form an Education Committee.
 
   
Focus opportunities to leverage our expertise and influence the local communities, through building alliances with other professional organizations in our field and community. - National CSSE - Provincial CSSE - Alberta Safety Construction Association - Construction Owners Association of Alberta - Workers Compensation Board - Alberta Human Resources and Development - Wood Buffalo Safe Communities Network - Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce.
